Train travel

1/ Special SNCF discount

As the official partner of the RWC 2007, SNCF wanted to offer all accredited Media a 20% discount on full price fare tickets (1st class & 2nd class) for all train travels in France throughout the entire duration of the Tournament. You may book your tickets now.

This special discount only applies to tickets purchased in advance at a train station. It does not apply to tickets purchased aboard the train.

Each beneficiary must present his/her RWC 2007 accreditation to the ticket inspector on the train in order to justify his/her discount. In the event of being unable to show RWC 2007 accreditation he/she will be obliged to pay the fee on the basis of the SNCF regulations in force.

How to book your train ticket

When you are making your reservation, please mention that you are a member of the IRB Rugby World Cup 2007 accredited Media. 

You will be given a reservation file number allowing you to collect your ticket at the following stations in Paris: Paris Est – Paris Nord – Paris St Lazare – Paris Montparnasse – Paris Austerlitz – Paris Gare de Lyon; and at the following stations in the host cities: Lens – Nantes – Bordeaux – Toulouse – Montpellier – Marseille – Lyon Part-Dieu and Lyon Perrache. 

-  At the stations mentioned above: go directly to the ticket sales counter.

Exchanges and refunds 

Ticket exchanges or refunds will only be available at the stations mentioned above according to the terms & conditions reserved for this type of discount category ticket. 

Shuttle buses between Stade de France – Paris  

The Organising Committee is setting-up a special shuttle bus service (departing ONLY from the Stade de France on match nights) to Paris Centre (Châtelet) owing to the late kick-off times (9 pm) of the matches held at this stadium.

There will be 3 shuttle buses as follows:

1 shuttle bus departing at midnight

1 shuttle bus departing at 1 am

1 shuttle bus departing at 2 am 

Access to these buses requires the presentation of RWC 2007 accreditation.
