Brazil and Paraguay undefeated

Brazil and Paraguay retained their 100% records in the South American Championships with victories over Colombia and Peru respectively.

Brazil's 74-0 win over Colombia also saw them record their second victory in Americas Round 1B of Rugby World Cup 2007 qualifying, following their 73-3 defeat of Peru on 10 October.

Paraguay, who beat Peru 74-0 earlier in the day in Sao Paulo, lie second in the South American Championships table behind Brazil, thanks to an overall inferior points difference.

The top two face each other on Saturday to decide the championship, whilst the match between Peru and Colombia is also a RWC 2007 qualifying game.

On a busy weekend of rugby, there are also three RWC 2007 qualifying matches taking place in Europe. Austria face Bosnia, whom they defeated 29-10 in Zenica.

In Tel Aviv, Israel and Lithuania play their first game in the Europe zone qualifying tournament and Switzerland will be looking to bounce back from defeat against Poland when they face Malta.
